Did we see the effects of Drew not playing much this preseason?

I was kind of shocked that they played him the entire first half in game two considering that's usually reserved for game three. But he plays only a few series in game three and nothing in the finale.

Still shaking off the off-season rust IMO.

yeah the offense as a whole didn't look that great. i think it was mostly having a LT that can't block for shite

I was thinking that as well and even wondered about it during the preseason. Drew will look even better next week.

He looked...I don't know.
I really don't think his arm strength needs to be questioned.

But something.

Whatever, no one is perfect 24/7 365.

Brown actually did well and I'm gladly eating crow for that. It was the interior getting beat by the DTs and the right side letting free rushers into the backfield(not sure if it was Strief or the backs/tes fault on most of those; Collins let Osi right on in without a chip or anything one play).

Had a few bad throws, but overall he played well. I think the lack of running game really is what took away from the offense today. Atlanta's defense played well. The line has to improve, and I think they will.

The offense will come around. But what we can take away from this game is that we may actually have a pretty good defense. If the defense can play with an effort like that every week... The NFL is fricked.

He still had a 113 QB rating. If this was a bad day, I'll take it.

He played well, but there was a lot of miscommunication and weird throws. This is a great thing because that will come, hopefully next week against the bad news bears.

I think part of it is timing as well. Even when Drew had time and the receiver was open he was off on a few. It'll get better quick.

That's how good Brees is. 26-35(74%) 113 QBR is a bad game.

I'm pissed. Seriously, if your QB can't do better than 26/35 for 357 yards and 2 TD's PLUS an interception taken out of the hands of Marques Colston, then it's time to make a change. SHELL OF HIS FORMER SELF!!!

We're all so spoiled that seeing him miss an open guy is shocking. He completed 74% of his passes though. Jeez

Drew left a lot on the field, and he'd be the first one to tell you that. We didn't finish a lot of drives.

Let me say this first. I'm not afraid to admit I have a man crush on Drew Brees. LOVE that guy.

With that said, am I the only one that feels that it would be a good idea to draft his replacement this next drive? Time in the system to take over with no issue, ala Aaron Rodgers.
