Come on, man. Ingram's a bust.

I don't see him as a bust.
He's average or just below.

Busts are absolutely terrible.
Jason Smith is a bust.
Sedrick Ellis is pushing bustdom.

You're overstating...I mean, I can't be surprised, that's what you guys do.
But you're seriously overstating.

Frankly, I am sort of neutral on Ingram, but today he had guys on his arse as soon as he touched the ball for the most part.

Ingram sucked all preseason and continued the suckage into the season opener.

Sproles & Thomas have proven to be valuable components in the Saints offense.

I'm still waiting for that to happen with Ingram, but my patience is growing thin.

Yup that's all I'm trying to say.

I'm not claiming he's good or that he sucks, but to say he sucked today is ignoring the fact that the line didn't do it's job all game no matter who ran.

That is what worries me. Need to get it cleaned up ASAP.

Thomas averaged 4.8 YPC, so not much suckage there. I guess the line really wanted to block for him.

The Saints pass blocking has always been better than run blocking (at least for the last several years).

I think whoever said it in the game thread was correct.

Ingram can be a 1,000-yard rusher. He just needs 500 carries this season.

I've already said Thomas is a beast(always has been) and broke a lot of tackles and I have no problem with him getting all the carries.

But the line didn't do that great for him either. I felt there was a few times he could have busted one but guys were on him too quick.

I'll have to look at the TiVo of the game, but the WR routes looked a bit sloppy IRL at the game. Drew def under threw alot today. IDK if its the arm, routes, or just timing issues. Will have to wait and see. We def gotta sure up the flats those mid crossing routes on the D side. It did seem like we got some good pressure from the d.though. And they def played up to the moment in that last stand. Looking good for week 1. Stuff to improve on, but we should handle the next couple games no problem.

Use Ingram for some play action pass and now you have a decoy and a threat .

Oh I'm not saying keep feeding Ingram. I'm all about giving Thomas all the snaps(save for the few plays we bring Sproles in on quick passes).

I'm just saying his play was atrocious because the line did jack shite for him, and barely did better for Sproles and Thomas.

To claim that he sucks because he had a defender on top of him as soon as he got the ball is stupid. He may suck but today was not his fault.

I didn't get to see the game, as I was driving to a client location for work in AR - but i did get to listen to it.

what I quoted is the truest statement i think could be said.

Mostly because Brees gets rid of the ball so fast compared to the running plays that seem to take forever to develop.

No, Jason Smith is a colossal bust. Ingram is just a normal sized bust.

Let's just do that with Pierre because he's actually good.

I think it is hard for either team to judge how good our linemen are. Both teams D linemen looked damn good today, but that could be because both team's offensive linemen are just dog shite.

3-4 though is looking like a good fit for the Saints.

We continue to be unimaginative with Ingram. The guy has hands. He can run the screen already. He can run a flat route. Start feeding him some passes, and I think his ypc will improve.

Virtually said the same thing to my Dad today. I'm not a huge Ingram fan, but we might see more from him if things aren't so predicatable when he's out there.

Anyone pay close attention to Haralson? I was at the game so I didn't get a chance to zero in on him too much, but from what I did see, he looks like a huge upgrade over Smith.
