The Decision To Keep Forcing Ingram

Is this SP doing this or is it coming from upstairs?

SP always says it doesn't matter how you get here blah blah. Yet PT and Sproles (and Ivory last year) consistently outproduce MI when given a chance. They kind of did the same thing with Reggie, but at least Reggie periodically gave you huge plays and forced D's to account for him because of his speed. I just don't understand it. I'm wondering is this isn't a bean-counting decision.

That is true, Ingram makes his blocks and assignments and is a great blocker. We have to run him to keep the other teams honest.

TBH I haven't focused on that. Well, at least it's something. I just don't see his run production changing unless he's behind a run-first, run-heavy Oline/team.

It's why Payton likes him. No doubt about it. He rarely missed a blocking assignment.
