How would OBJ project into the NFL right now?

Serious question for the nfl gurus.

He seems undersized in both height and weight but is shifty, explosive, and has good instincts.

What round would he go in? Just as a KR or a WR? Should he stay another year and beef up? Kinda reminds me of Devon Hester who is amazing with the ball in his hands but isn't a prototype nfl receiver.

OBJ looks fine for a speed WR in the NFL

beefing him up too much will make him lose his explosiveness (both north/south and laterally)

tayvon austin, who is admittedly more explosive than OBJ, just went high first

desean jackson went in the 1st and he was like 160 lbs at the draft

I could see third round because guys like Matthews, Lee, Reese, Moncrief, Watkins, Cooks, are already established.

I agree....a solid third round talent. Rnds 1-3 are expected to be starters. He looks like a solid WR2 plus kick return which is a bonus. May make him a mid-three.

He can play WR in the NFL, and if he continues to produce, he can be a 2nd-3rd round guy this year. There will be concerns about his size and hands, but he's explosive and 6'0 193 isn't too small (Victor Cruz is 6'0 200). He's a sure thing to leave early at this point.

yeah that sounds about right

if he continues this rate and runs a sub 4.40 he could sneak into the top 50 for sure

How does he compare size wise to Victor Cruz? Sorta reminds me of him.

ETA:

ODB - 6ft. 193lb.

Cruz - 6ft. 204lb.

Steve Smith (Carolina) is like 5'9", 185-190, right?

I think so.

He is on the NFL.COm Draft Watch with the FG return: ODB

Depends on how he finishes the year and how he runs at the combine...obviously.

If he runs a 4.4, he could go second round.
I wouldn't see him lower than a late 3rd rounder right now though.

If he continues at this pace on the field and runs a sub 4.4...the first round is certainly not out of the question.
