No one ( negatigers excluded ) can watch the LSU D and not recognize all the talent. Allen, Rasco, K. Alexander, Barrow, Martin, and Eugene have all looked extremely good. Furgeson and Johnson destroy any OL one on one and have to be double teamed. Our Jalens have been a little shaky but their is so much talent behind them I'm not concerned.

It just looks like these guys need a few more games to review film, correct mistakes and gel. The talent is all there, and I trust Chavis will get their focus where it needs to be. We have two more games to fine tune before the first big test.

The best news is we finally have an O that can give the D rest and some points.

Smile girls, it could be a special year!

They're definitely not playing up to the normal standard that we're used to, that's for sure. But I'm confident Chief can get it fixed. And if not, we'll just outscore everyone.

Completely agree, the d is a work in progress. If the defense gels as we expect them to, lsu will be the best team in the country.

It better gel before Georgia. Their offense has been off the charts the first 2 games.

too many missed tackles at this point. I think some of the lack of full contact at practice has something to do with this. It will get better with each game and week of practice.

We need to find a middle linebacker. Chavis has been trying to figure that out these first two games and no one has really stepped up. Also concerned about Loston's health. However, we should all let the Chief do his work and see how we go against Auburn in two weeks. That will be a good dress rehearsal before GA.

And their defense looks like a steaming pile of Dawg crap.
LSU will take care of UGA.

Not really if we keep on scoring so quickly. The offense would definitely get more rest.

i don't think we have the playmakers up front or in the back to really make major negative plays consistently

and our LBs are hit and miss

i think the D gels, but i don't expect a dominant D. we've lost too much rare talent teh past 2 years

this was expected adn it's OK though, b/c it seems like we're actually trying on offense

Agree with everything in the OP.

Except Eugene playing safety in the 2nd quarter let the long TD pass get behind him when Collins got burned. And one more that wasn't caught. Not getting over to help fast enough.

collins just got burned and the pass was perfect. even with perfect safety help i don't think he could have stopped that TD
