Interesting band out of Austin, Texas. Solid album, check it out. Glad to see the U.S. can still produce good rock-n-roll (because Sweden has been dominating hard rock for the past 5 years, imo.

Saw Scorpion Child in March in Dallas opening for Orange Goblin and Clutch. The did allright for a young band.

The U.S. has never stopped kicking arse in rock 'n roll. Check out Chicago's 'Trouble', Maryland's 'Clutch', Fu Manchu, Nebula, anything with John Garcia, Queens of the Stone Age. Hell, I could go on and on.

Most of what I've heard coming out of Sweden is more akin to 80s/early-90s hair metal. Steel Panther appeals to me way more than any of that I've heard.

Do these guys sound like the Cult? The only time I have ever heard those words were in The Cult - Lil Devil.

Got the Scorpion Child album yesterday and I'm really digging it. I like it much more than I thought I would.
