Just brought this up on Pandora in an attempt to get more familiar with this style of music and the station is awesome.

Just wondering about some other similar bands to which I could invest some time. Not one offs, but legit bands with some longevity so I can dig into a few catalogs.

Jason Isbell's solo stuff is good

If it's the story-telling you like, the Hold Steady. Not a southern rock band, by any means, but sort of the flip side to the Truckers. They toured together and they fit perfectly together.

Also, Deer Tick.

The band of heathens are kind of on the other end of the southern rock spectrum but you should check them out

It is a good station. Funny thing- you get better quality Stones tunes on this station than you do on the Stones station.

The alt country stations really do a great job of pulling some of the Stones' best stuff.

I've been rotating between American Aquarium and Isbell tonight.

ETA: you have to be careful with it though. I've got somewhere to be tonight, and then Codeine comes on the Isbell station and I'm obligated to open another beer before I leave.
