Such a good guy. I'm still so surprised by the signing. Wish him good things.

That was bad arse.

"Oh, yeah, I heard them saying my body is broken. I like that. It gives me the chance to prove them wrong." (paraphrasing)

Got me excited. I guess we'll see pretty soon what he has left.

I like the guy; I really hope that he can be productive this year. Also, I wouldn't mind seeing a repeat of this:

But, I won't hold my breath.

I actually liked the WRs we had before he got cut and came back. I'm hoping that this doesn't indicate that Toon is injured more than we know.

I don't know why I'm worried about Toon so much; SP said it wasn't serious!

I've never been a huge Meachem fan, but damn that was an awesome interview. He couldn't have answered better.

I hope that's the case. He does have an injury history. I forget who, but someone floated the idea by it looked better for the team to put out that the player is broken down physically than to admit that they sign someone to a huge contract that doesn't fit their offense.

Meachem is so overlooked right now.

he has a rapport with brees that stills or toon cannot match. He is a proven deep threat with good hands. I think he picks up right where he left off. Not staggering numbers, but when drew flings that shite deep...look for meachem.

I a bit more excited about the signing after that interview. I feel happy for him. But still reserved.

Indeed.

And I wonder if the Saints have had any talks with Dunbar. I read that the Rams say they might not be finished with him. It could have been that they were right up on the cap and since he was out for 4 games, they cut him for relief.

I'd think Dunbar would be one of the most useful "should we's" in recent years.

People are dumb and need to temper expectations. There's a reason it took him three years to see the field for the saints, and it wasn't injuries. Even then He was one dimensional. Yeah he made some great plays and was part of SB 09' but I think most of y'all are clouded by history.

I don't think anyone has crazy expectations.

35 catches 500 yards 5 or 6 TDs

from 2009 to 2011 he did that consistently, 700 yards and 9 TDs in 09. He goes bust one year in SD, which is a complete dumpster fire, comes back (literally only gone for one season) and now he blows?

I don't think anyone is expecting crazy numbers but if you don't think he has a leg up on toon and at worst is even with stills...you're crazy. Years of playing with drew and building a rapport. Years of playing in this offense. Years with this playbook. I don't expect him to be too rusty.
