Cafe Habana gets VCC approval

The proposed restaurant at the corner of Esplanade and Rampart n New Orleans, was approved by the Vieux Carre Commission. Still has to go to N.O. City Council, but a huge step in the right direction.

Its nowhere near a done deal. And, being familiar with the neighbors who have already hired lawyers, I suspect an injunction suit is in the offing. But, I agree - great, and surprising, step.
