Coach, I see you also sell BMW and Mercedes.

Saw tv show for Mecom Auto Auction in Dallas today where they sold a gorgeous 2001 Mercedes convertible, burgundy, 90,000 miles I believe, for $9000. Someone got a steal. Not sure of the make but similar one on Ebay - a CLK 430. I would be interested.

Yes, but I never revealed my hand until I absolutely had to. By that time, we were both committed to the deal.

I think someone that knows the business and the sales managers could make a killing negotiating for buyers. I would pay $400 to have someone handle the deal and get me the best price...

Is that a TDI auto or 6 speed? That's a great price, I'm looking at a Jetta or Passat TDI and may have to use the Will Cover method in concert with USAA.

Did you talk them into the 0% APR, or were they offering it, and if so over how long?

Couldn't agree more. I hated the process and the little games that were played. I would pay in a heartbeat to not have to do this and allow some with more expertise to do it.

Agreed. Hell I'm buying my car soon, any takers in the DC area? I'll set my desired price, anything under that I would split 50/50.

I'd sell you my 2012 FX2 Super Crew with 14k miles for $30k. All options except nav and sunroof, but added Line-X and a folding bed cover.

It really isn't. I fvcking hate negotiations, they just make me feel dirty.

I wonder if there'd be a market for like an automobile broker similar to in real estate.

Consumer Reports used to have a new car buying service. I think Sams & Costco did too. It does not appear they do any more.
There is a market for it, but is there profit to be made?

There is a nice 2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK55 AMG on Ebay but there is a discrepancy with the mileage. Thanks for the head's up.

Bought a truck this weekend. F150, 5.0L v8, super crew, 302A package, two tone, with bed liner. Got it for $13k off sticker. Did i get a good deal?

That is about right for an XLT at this time of year.

I got 14K off a 4X4 with the same equipment group at Mack Haik over the internet. Was the easiest purchase I have ever made. They emailed me the deal, I agreed to it and they overnighted all the paperwork to me. I brought it in with me to the dealership and was in and out in 30 minutes including the test drive and walk around. I saved $1000 over the best deal I got in 2 states. They also gave me $1000 for my SUV that was worth about $300. I could not be happier with my purchase.

Lucky you. I'm trying to buy a vehicle from these guys, and the manager is being nothing less than an a-hole about my trade. Wants to give me over $5000 less than everywhere else and wouldn't budge even after I emailed him other offers I've gotten from other dealers.

They don't even have the lowest price on the vehicle. I was just trying to drive only to Houston instead of all the way to Dallas. I have no idea how that place has the reputation it does.

Wow, they were nothing but nice to me there. Like I said earlier, in and out in 30 minutes. I drove in and picked it up on a Saturday, right as they opened. The truck was sitting in their drive through area shined up and ready to roll with a full tank of gas as well. That is saying something on a 36 gallon tank. Sorry that you have had issues. I was dealing with the internet sales guy. Good kid.

There's atleast a half dozen ford dealers in houston so you should be able to find another optio before turing to dallas.

The car I'm looking it is fairly limited in availability at this point, so options are scarce. They're actually on at a dealer in NOLA, but I don't see them matching the price of the high volume dealers. I'm trying, but am still about $1500 off. That's worth the drive still.
