How come we don't drop back and throw to our running backs out the backfield?

With the talent of our backs why don't we do more drop back and throw to the running back coming out the back field? Do you think we would have succes with this?

We've played a grand total of one game.

Well, I didn't see much of it last year. I'm very satisfied with what we do, I'm just asking why we don't see it more with our elusive backs.

There was no reason to check down when our WR were open all game and OL was unreal at pass blocking.

You do realize we probably didn't use every play in the play book Saturday night. While you are wondering you should also ask why we didn't run the double reverse with the fastest player on the field.

I'm sure we will see more of that when the OL gels as the season progresses right now your starting 4 new guys on the line (position wise) and you keep the back in for extra protection in game 1 to help.

They aren't fast enough to win in open space.

It looked like the rbs were getting held on screens by two defenders

Because when you have the 90th ranked offense for like 5 years it doesn't make sense to use easy stuff like TE's and RB's

When you have an athlete you try to force to be a QB for 4 years and he struggles to get 100 yards passing in games and does things like run the option out of bounds and plays hot potato with Bama in the national championship game it absolutely does not make sense to try an easy dump off pass to one of the most productive RB groups in the country.

Also, if you have one of the best run blocking O-Line's in the country it would absolutely not make sense to run a few screens a game

Of course when I say "not make sense" what I really mean is it does not make sense to our $4 million a year head coach

We will. I imagine Cam changing that from game to game (not within a game). Based on the theory of generals always fight the last war.

I think we will. Especially with Magee in the rotation.
