Totally forgot about TB. However, their is plenty of time for him to shoot up the boards and who knows? Murray may drop. No way McCarron goes before him. Maybe, but I don't think so.

Mett just screams prototypical NFL QB. Plus he has the stach

I love me some mett. But lets be real there's no way in hell I'm taking him over Murray, mccaron, or bridgewater

If we're talking a pro style offense, I'm definitely taking Mett over Mccaron or Murray. Mett's arm talent is a step above both of them. If he continues to progress in making reads and his deep ball accuracy continues to improve, then he'll be drafted above both of them.

Mett could pass Murray, but lets be real, Mett has the bama and tcu games and besides that hes mediocre. I was impressed with him Saturday night, but he has to do it consistently.

Bridge water will be first QB taken

Mett can play himself into the top half of the first round at best

I just don't think he's got enough of a resume to be a top 5 pick

I think 10-15 is his ceiling

But I think even with an average year he'll be a 4th rd pick at worst

I think he will. Even against weak opponents. I love topics like this, because of such varying opinions.

I don't see how you think he's mediocre though. He reminds me very much of Jamarcus. JR was better on the deep ball though, but I think mett improves there as well.

Some pretty good competition to highlight his talent. He'll do well at the combine and individual workouts. He will go high, whether he does well at the next level or not.

Doubt he is the first QB taken, but if he continues to play like he has, and with his size and arm strength he will be a 1st rounder. Bridgewater is good and plays absolutely nobody so he will have ridiculous numbers.

fwiw, Aaron Murray may actually be slightly hindered by his height, Ive heard he's closer to 6' than the 6'1" he is listed at....

That's fair. If he's the first taken...will you bump it then as well?

Thats all im saying. He has the talent, he just needs to show it every week before i can say he's a first round pick. Im not hating on the guy, he looked great on Saturday.

Unless Mett has a phenomenal year, he would be lucky to get drafted in the first 5 rounds. Can everyone please be patient with Mett. He had one incredible game, but he had games like this last year. If he consistently plays all year like he did Saturday, he could put himself in the first 3 rounds.

True, but he looks like a completely different person. He's worked extremely hard in the offseason. It was evident against a really good TCU defense.

IMO he'll go anywhere between 2nd-4th rounds.

It's b/c he's only taking one class while eating and sleeping football.

He had a good game. People had sky high expectations last year; now they're at a more realistic level. He's capable of many more games like this, but I won't be surprised or overreact if he has a couple duds thrown in. He was a 3rd/4th rounder before the season because the physical tools are there. Good year, and I say late 1st to mid 2nd. JMO.

This. Mett looked good last week. Very much improved. Excited to see what he does the rest of the year.

But, I would take Bridgewater and Murray over Mett at the moment. And Tahj Boyd too.

Its just way too early to think Mett will be the #1 QB. All 3 Bridgewater, Murray, and Boyd have been better than him for multiple seasons. Just cant say hes the #1 QB taken after the 1st week of the season. Did he look good and very much improved? Yes. But still too early. Those guys looked good for multiple seasons. Mett looked good for 1. He def has an NFL arm and size. But I wanna see him put it all together for an entire season before I call him the #1 QB in the draft.

He should be in the top 10 QB prospects for the draft. Then, I think at the combine he has a good showing and shows NFL scouts what kind of arm he really has and he moves into the top 5 category. Cam is is making some serious strides with Mett. Just too soon to say he will be the #1 QB in the draft after 1 week.
