You are honestly saying you'd rather see Bama lose than see LSU win?

What's wrong with you?

Based off one mediocre performance and they still crushed VT

I want Bama to suck as much as anyone but they are loaded with talent and have great coaching. I would wait and see how much they improve bw 1st and 2nd game before saying the Angie's will beat them.

A&M beat them last year, and also have some talent on their side, namely the reigning Heisman trophy winner at the most important position. A&M likely will improve more based on suspensions on defense and offense. A&M is a legitimately great offense. Bama will be very good, but they are nowhere near 2011/12 team. Defensively very good, but a good defense needs a good offense to keep them fresh.

If you expect a team to have a weakened Oline, and then those expectations are confirmed in the first game, your conclusion is based on more than just one mediocre game. They crushed VT's special teams, if they get 2 ST TDs in every game they will be unbeatable, but if they don't get them against a team like A&M or LSU, you will see a good team not great one. I'm not knocking Saban or Bama's talent, but it just looks like they don't have the right chemistry at the moment. Maybe it will get a lot better in the coming weeks.

They have a bye this week to focus and fix it.

After watching LSU, Bama, and Georgia play:

1) LSU is square in the BCS title hunt.

2) Alabama will not repeat in the BCS. They had the spring and preseason to get that offensive line ready, and that mess will not be cleaned up in two weeks, nor all season. They cannot win the games they need to off of special teams play and defense.

3) Georgia is very good and along with LSU will be the best in conference. How our defense deals with Murray will decide the game in Athens.

It was a great win, but come on. The answer to this question is Clemson, they had the best opening win in the country.

I agree with Clemson. They won the biggest game on the field. "Eye test" is the dumbest form of evaluation in football.

LSU looked like a great team was well.

screw him. Don't want no compliments from him. keep ridin the Bama meat train.

But without the mistakes that made this game look closer than it really was. LSU completely dominated these people.

I'd say Clemson or LSU. Probably Clemson.

They are a legitimate contender and could have beaten anyone in the SEC on Saturday.

Obviously you didn't watch the Bama game OR look at the box score.

They had 206 total yards. On offense they beat VT 14-10. Fortunately for them KO, Punt and INT returns were impressive.

They didn't look like No. 1 at all. I'd keep them there for now out of respect for the Saban and the 3/4 titles but they'll need major improvement. (And they'll likely find it.)

Oh, and I'd put LSU's win at #2, behind Clemson.

Wow, what a year of redemption it would be if LSU:

1.) Won the West despite playing that crazy "bridge" schedule
2.) Beat Georgia after LSU was relegated to the Chicken bowl last year
3.) Ditto that for aTm in Tiger Stadium
4.) Beat Bama in Tuscaloosa
5.) Won the SECCG
6.) Won the final BCS title against Clemson as payback for last year...in USC's backyard

As good as Clemson looked, they won by a flubbed field goal. To play that well at home, I would expect a bigger margin. Still, a big win for Clempson. Oh, and UGA "could have" won that game if they convert that field goal.

And hey, they didn't change the "Full Block" numeral font on their traditional jersey's either.

You don't frick with one of the most well known and traditional uniforms in college football.

BTW, somebody at LSU needs to be taken out behind the wood shed and be taught a serious lesson! Still trying to find out if it was Miles, Stringfellow, a yet unknown cretin at Nike or whomever.

Clemson offense looked great, but their D is weak.
Bama has issues on O-Line.
A&M has issues on both lines.
LSU looked solid except for Blue missing several blocks and fumbling.

Id say Clemson had the best opening win given it was a matchup of 2 Top 10 teams, with LSU a close second.
