They did, just not on the scoreboard.

If you play the "if" game, it was very close to being a total blowout.

Add 12 points for failures to get a TD inside the 8, subtract 14 from TCU for the fumble and the kickoff. Add another 7 on a TD drop, you got 56-13.

Didn't he think we were overrated in his preseason predictions?

Let's go ahead and make it 56-6 and say Ego doesn't rough their QB.

you can’t take away TCUs long kick-off return and keep Beckam’s long return? So, add 4 for not converting 1st and goal at 2. Add 7 for Beckam’s drop pass. TCU deduct 7 for Blue fumble inside the 10. Hard to deduct 7 from TCU on Ferguson’s penalty, TCU still had to drive 60 yards for TD. LSU 48 - 20.

I can do that and say TCU should have won the game.

like to see these pundits eat a little crow. Really, LSU 12th ranked? what game have they been watching? But that’s ok, i”d rather it that way ---

LSU's red zone offense has been a major issue, so it's not like this is something new. I do believe it will get fixed, as the season goes on.

I'll give you seven points for the fumble, because it never happens, and I highly doubt it will be a problem in the future. As far as the kick off return, you have to give TCU credit, that kid was hauling arse!

Either way, LSU played a solid team and won by 10 points. The offense looks much improved from last year, and imo it will only get better. There's no reason to have to justify anything that happened last night, LSU was clearly the better team, and deserved to win.

Is this the same Mandel who tweeted this shite?
quote:

@slmandel: But hey, Les knows the drill. No one's going to give him a pass if he loses to TCU b/c they didn't have Jeremy Hill. So onward they go.

@slmandel: Jeremy Hill caught on tape clocking a guy in the head, violated probation, but hey, his teammates voted him back, so what I could do?

@slmandel: Urban Meyer should study Les Miles on how to avoid backlash. Just don't even pretend to care about values or discipline and all that jazz.

Miles commended his new coordinator Saturday night. Asked if this was the type of performance he envisioned from Mettenberger upon making the hire, Miles replied: "Yes, that's exactly right. I think that Zach will have nights like that pretty routinely from this point forward."
