I do not know who ( I suspect Cameron) is responsible for the change or better execution of our pass blocking scheme, but obviously it was very successful. I only saw what appeared to be one bust by Collins during the game. Hawkins is a godsend at RT in terms of pass blocking. We can only get better.

Since the OL coach is now coaching the OL and the OC can design and call plays, the line looks 100x better.

This. We have two coaches on the O line full time. Plus it should have been obvious with how well Collins, Turner, and Alexander played well last year. The Clemson game was bad but Alexander was injured and out of shape. He's at full strength now, lost a good bit of weight, and playing the position perfect for him. The O line will get better and better with each game.

Really impressed with Collins and Hawkins. Hawkins especially since he was extremely raw a year ago. Coaches have done a great job teaching him the position.

pretty much. ppl gotta realize we went thru spring AND fall 2012 camp with a certain OL lineup - 4 of whom were returning starters - and by midseason 3/5 had to be replaced. that's damn near unheard of.

Stud did a damn good job working all that out last yr IMO. of course there were hiccups, Vadal was fresh outta HS and Dworacyk hadn't been a LT. not to mention being 3 guys down killed the depth and we couldn't sub in when guys got nicked like we could in the past. at one point the depth chart had Porter as the backup at C, RG, and RT.

Without the pass blocking we had last night we don't win the game.

Miles said that Cameron suggested a technique change at the center position and with the backs in their pass blocking technique that was going to improve the entire unit as a whole. Seems to be working.
