Will the ignorant national media will point out Mett's "accuracy issues"......

The idiots on CFB Live, CFB Daily, etc. are going to simply look at his 16/32 stat line and show that they didn't even watch the game by talking about his need to show that he still needs to show he can be more "accurate". Sportscenter last night said Mett "played well in spots" and only showed one throw, the Jarvis TD in their highlight package. That lazy reporting will be picked up and perpetuated around the country so everyone will continue to sleep on him and this very dangerous offense.
Mett was a fricking surgeon last night. He sliced that D to pieces with smart, accurate, pinpoint passes all over the field. He moved exceptionally well in the pocket and even ran for a crucial 3rd down conversion. His 3rd down play was simply perfect. He was calm, smart, accurate, and extremely clutch in a huge game against a great D ON THE ROAD, which was where he struggled last year.
All of this against an always great Gary Patterson D with perhaps the best secondary in the country that will be ranked in the top 10-20 at the end of the year.
The last third down conversion of the game when he zapped a fricking laser beam to OBJ on a back shoulder throw along the sideline on like 3rd and 12 was an Aaron Rodgers special that I don't think any other quarterback in the country can make. It was Jamarcus like in 06. Outstanding arm talent.
Everyone complaining about the deep balls last year saw how he can make those throws when he has protection to step into the throw and the receiver gives him enough separation to deliver it, and he doesn't need a lot. Beckham dropped a picture perfect rainbow bomb that hit him in the hands. Other than that OBJ balled up though.
His quick decisions and awareness on those two busted screens to immediately ground the ball, one of which was in our own endzone, show he's got things figured out. He was making calls at the line all night too. Total control of our O.
The ONLY bad play was at the end of the half with no timeouts when he threw short of the goal line to a covered receiver that would have let time expire and cost us a chipshot FG.
Other than that Mett just played the best game of any LSU QB since Flynn in the BCSCG. And he did way more than Flynn was asked to do in that game, and it is going to go largely unnoticed nationally because of the 16/32 line.
Can't wait to watch him continue to operate all year. Mett is going to make himself a first round pick now that he has an OL and Jarvis and Odell are playing their natural positions.

College Football Final didnt have anything bad to say about him last night. Mett looked really good last night, much better than last year. Also, our backup executed a QB sneak flawlessly.

I didnt read that but its dumb. Mett had 1 if not 2 really good throw aways and also dumbed like 3 screens that didnt develop. so right there thats 16/27 or so. Add in the 2 incompletions that were obvious PI thats 18/27 with 3 TDs
seems pretty good to me. He showed great arm skills last night and Im All IN behind Mett after that showing

If he is making throws like that all season we will have a dominant offense and he will be a for sure 1st round selection.

I was really hoping he was gonna run a zone read or two that game

I have a feeling he'll see some action in the UAB revenge game.

Your obsession with Jennings is getting a little out of control

Is this a preemptive rant? We're not even waiting for ESPN to actually bash LSU anymore?
I haven't heard anyone say negative stuff about him. There isn't a lot of praise either. 16/13 probably doesn't warrant that though. We all watched the game and are encouraged by the quality QB play. Enjoy it and chill out.

That's my point. Sportscenter showed one throw and didn't even list his stats this morning.
The anchor last night said he "played well in spots".
Anyone that watched the game, even the most ardent rantards on here, all agree that the guy was fantastic against a very good secondary, just like the Bama game last year.
It should absolutely be a story, and the fact that it isn't is worth pointing out imo
