Anyone with Commercial Appeal access, what's the ZBo trade rumor? bit.ly/16WA9Mo

@TomLorenzo "One rumor –- unsubstantiated so far -- floating around is that the Griz offered forward Randolph to Pelicans for Eric Gordon"

That's two fans tweeting, but the quote is supposedly from a registration required article at the local Memphis newspaper.

Interesting.

Seems a goofy offer, if real, but the NBA can in fact be goofy.

I like ZBo, but we're obviously loaded at PF and his play is falling off. Last season was his worst since his second season.

But it goes to show that Gordon CAN be moved for something of value if we're inclined.

Glad we turned it down.

Why on earth would we take on Zbo unless we intended to flip him almost immediately.

Only way zbo fits on this team is if Davis starts for us at center this year.

I fricking love Z Bo too. Hypothetically, if we had the same team but not davis I'd be fricking pissed we turned this down.

Interestingly, Zbo is an example of why Gordon hasn't been traded. Attitude issues can be resolved. Best value is obtained when they are resolved provided the talent is still there and injuries haven't taken over.

The injury thing is a far bigger worry than Gordon's attitude in terms of present trade value.

Forget the truth of the trade talk or reasonable fit of Zbo. The lesson remains.

It seems that Gordon will have to prove himself on the court to elevate his value past Dell's strike price.

The front court would have been super elite with Randolph.

Anyone else wish discussion meant something other than "say something stupid" to some so-called people?

Monty is very familiar with Randolph. Randolph is/was allegedly a major financial backer for drug dealers. I could see Monty wanting nothing to do with Randolph even if all the basketball reasons said do it.

We would have gotten one of my all-time favorite players for one of my all-time least favorite players

If this is true this is truly disheartening news

Interesting. If Memphis really offered that, I woould have said no thanks on Randolph, but let's add a third team and see what we can do.

I'm sure Dell did his homework if he turned this down.
