I hunted with a guy who was in it several years ago. We usually did ok before the split. Better than fighting people on the reserve

Hunted that club for 10 years. My blind was just south west of isle de jean Charles. Shot plenty teal, greys and pintail the first split. The north wind always had the water to low for the second split. Always did well late morning once the fishermen started riding around. The dues were $100 and you have no problems with the idiots that hunt the reserve.

You mentioned the main appeal to me, $. If I get a good teal season out of it it'll be worth it in my opinion, but obviously I ride it out the season if its worth it.

Why did you get out?

We've been in for about 6 years. Shoot lots of greys, teal and pintail.

I like it.

Kill between 250-400 birds a year

Do you carry stuff to add around your blind, like myrtles or willows?

Not at all. It's salt marsh, we just park next to the bank. Blends right in

Just watch the tides carefully

Yeah, I'm real familiar with the tides. last year we need a couple more as we watched it pour out the pond. Killed our birds and went to pick up took us an hour to get back to blind and we made a 200 yd loop. Quick morning hunt turned into an all day grind.

How do you get into the club? Me and my cousin were interested. He has a camp in cocodrie, and for $100 a year, that's close enough to make a few hunts and it be worth it. I've looked into the Dularge hunting club, but I was told I'd have a few years on the wait list.

Little tip, all the stuff past Jug Lake to the big rock weir on right that goes towards Penchant only 1 guy hunts it. Part of bayou dularge HC, we were in it but you aren't allowed to move much from your blind spot. That said that flat on both sides typically holds an arse load of birds.
