Hopefully Obama will say no as well.

And why isn't our congress involved in this? Was that not one of his major campaign issues in 2008?

Obama only uses congress when he can get his way, when they disagree he side steps them and plays king and does whatever he wants. See my gun control post...hell every action Obama has ever taken is done this way! I really don't see how he is still in office. If he goes forward he should be impeached!

Because John Boehner won't call them back to Washington, and most of them probably don't want to take a stand anyway.

Thank God what? That he ignores congress? You can't really feel this way?

Any president should have absolute respect for the Constitution and the process of how this nation is meant to operate. This is not a Dem/Rep issue or a Black/White issue, this is a slippery slope issue where we are moving away from democracy and towards near dictatorship!

If nothing comes of this, Obama will literally be laughed at by everyone (both by Republicans and overseas) for the rest of his term. Putin may as well taunt him in front of the cameras. Of course, Obama had this day coming since he made his red line comment.

I'll forgive Obama for the 'red line' comment.

By the same token, WHOEVER spewed that stuff - when proven - ought to get a dose of it their self.

I'm thankful because I believe that this almost eliminates any chance that Obama will get involved.

If I had to guess, orders are already in the wind, it's just a matter of the final go ahead from the President.

I don't think it's worth American blood and treasure just to keep Obama from losing face and this country would be a lot better off if W had been willing to eat his words in 2003.

Ok my mistake, I thought you were going another route with that.
I still think he gets involved. He’s backed himself into a corner. At this point he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

Without question, President Obama probably would not being in office right now and the world would think a lot more of us...

"if"

If he punishes the wrong guys and the truth/evidence comes out...he'll be dodging ANOTHER scandal. Especially if AQ gets the benefits. No way this evidence stays in the dark. Too much money at stake.

Definitely. But Obama was incredibly foolish for going there to begin with. This whole scenario just illustrates how incredibly inept he is when it comes to the world stage. You can say what you want about W but he never was accused of being weak. Obama is literally getting lapped by everyone else.

It's becoming clear it was the Syrian army

We'll see some declassified evidence tomorrow
