jimmy just said ole miss hasnt been this excited for a season since eli. werent they preseason #4 one season with jeavan sneed. not critiquing him for forgetting that, just trying to remember myself if that's accurate.

Yep. 2009.
They were #4 going into their third game of the season. Played @ South Carolina on a Thursday night and looked like shite. Two weeks later took their annual beating from Bama. Party was over after that. Same year as the "clock it" game against LSU.
