Found this extremely interesting.

WR Kadron Boone is only player on #LSU roster who started vs Oregon in '11 Cowboys Classic. Boone listed 2nd team for TCU game in Arlington.

I know, it's shocking that Lazarre found the shift key.

Isn't that the game that Shep was held out amoung others? He would have been number 2 behind Randle.

Sure is. I just found it interesting that the starter in that game is not going to start this opener. Shows how much talent left and has come in during that 2 year stretch

Was Beckham not the number 2 WR for that game? I remember a bunch of chatter about how long it had been since a true freshman started a season opener at WR for LSU before that game.

Yeah Beckham started the game, but Boone was listed as the starter on the roster.

Plus what does start really mean? the furst series? we rotate defenders a lot.

Just means on paper. Has nothing to do with who was out there first snap oddly enough

It means on the field for the first play of the game for that particular unit, offense or defense. Special teams is not considered.

Well looking at the stats, Boone didnt even make one catch, but odell and jarvis did. So it really means absolutely nothing.
On d, Tahj Jones, ego, freak, and barrow played. Although barrow and jones may have been special teams.
