I read on the stadium site that this is true for Cowboy's games. For those of you who have used the passes for previous LSU games in Jerry world, will this be true for this weekend as well?

Yes it is true. I called to find out what time the lots open and I was told 2pm.

6 Hours.

Game is at 8, gates open at 2.

Read on here earlier this offseason an LSU fan had some emails exchanged with Stadium personnel and he requested they reconsider and open earlier. So they will open for 2 rather than 3.

ETA: See this thread about 2pm opening

They had this rule for the oregon game but we pressured them into opening up at like 10...there was a long line to get in the lot before 9.

you'd think there's a tradeoff. Jerry has to pay staff and cops to get there a little earlier, but you even out the incoming traffic a little more with a wider window.

hmmmm, now I can see why he wants a smaller window. dollar-wise, tradeoff not a big plus for ole Jerry.

I got there at 11am for the Oregon game and they were lettng people in. $20 and a 100 yard walk to our tailgating spot. Getting in and out of the stadium is very quick and easy. After the Oregon game i was on the interstate in less than 10 minutes. They have their stuff set up legit.

If you haven't bought a pass yet and you want to tailgte all day, buy one for lot 14. It's a RV/car lot and is always open.

you are pissed about 5 hours of tailgating but if its anything like last time 5 hours is plenty. because the tailgating there is pretty lame. you will be cooking on the asphalt.

this is a subject that our dear athletic director should take up with the management of jerry world...

if LSU plays there again, the lots are open in the early AM to allow for tailgating....

Its the principle of the thing bap. I am one of those who is upset with Alleva for not giving half a shite about the fans.

The tailgating time is a small and stupid thing to be upset about, but it is what we are famous for.
