A few notes...
Final cost for the renovation was $280 million. The initial bid was $100 million more than that, but they held off and when the recession hit, everyone resubmitted their bids and UW got it for $100 million cheaper.
All of the coaches' offices, recruiting facilities, player facilities (weight room, training room, medical center, locker room, etc.) are built into the stadium in the horseshoe end.
The field was dropped 4 feet, shifted north 7 feet, and the entire lower bowl as well as the south grandstands were demolished and rebuilt. The only thing leftover from the old stadium is the north grandstands (although the interior was remodeled).
The official capacity is 70,138
The also rebuilt the docks so I believe 300 boats can now show up to the games.

Is Price a senior this year?
I remember watching him in the Alamo Bowl 2 years back and he was a badass then.

That touchdown terrace is similar to what we're going to do with our endzone shortly.
Field level seats and suites, among others.
Well done though, still not a fan of the tackle box look but renovation wise they did well.

Yep. He was awesome in 2011 and sucked in 2012. Everyone is curious which Price shows up this year.

Very nice. Doesn't hurt having a stadium in such a beautiful area either.

I didn't think they were going to be that great at first, but they look awesome. They were actually added in during construction and weren't part of the original plan. Once they put them on sale, they sold out immediately.

This board is actually the only place I've ever heard the words "tackle box" when referring to the stadium
They wanted to keep the look and feel of the old Husky Stadium, but make it modern. Those cantilever roofs make that place really loud.

Seattle is my favorite city in the world. I could see myself living there.

Sadly "tackle box" is the perfect way to describe it lol. But at least its one bad arse tackle box.

Back in those days, most of the polls were final before the bowl games were played. UW played the AP #1 Minnesota in the Rose Bowl and beat them. In the Helms poll which actually happened after the season, UW was ranked #1. Stories like this can happen for a ton of those title claims though I'm sure.

Anything without the track around the field was going to be better but you guys really knocked it out of the park. Looks great.

That's a nice stadium for the Huskies to lose in.

That looks really nice!
Hijack: Is Kohler going to play again? Sad to see him hurt all of the time. And is Crane going to redshirt?

You mean like when LSU played at UW and won in 2009, or last year in BR when they again won?
