Will there ever be a feature film about Smedley Butler?

What's that got to do with Smedley being a funny name?

And to the OP, the 1934 "November Plan" was dramatized in a three part episode of the 1970s detective series City Of Angels (set in the 1930s), but with Butler removed as a character.

You can also make a case the November Plan semi-inspired Seven Days In May, with Kirk Douglas as "Butler".

Sorry, sore subject when we think someone is making fun of Smedley.

No. Hollywood would start with a biopic but then some producer wouldn't like the name Smedley, so the name would be changed to Brock Carrington and then once the name changed, the facts would change.

At some point either aliens or invading angels would be added to the plot because WWI & WWII aren't hot at the moment.

This is how we got Independence Day. Started out as the Audie Murphy story but a producer thought Audie sounded a bit effeminate.
