A least one meal a day.
We do.. Supper. Usually breakfast on weekends.
That's the way it was when I was kid... My dad always used to say how important it was, didn't understand til I had family of my own.
I actually feel sorry for people who can't/don't.

Until recently, when at home, always.

When my girlfriend and her daughter and/or my son is here we do. I eat at the table with my son. When it is just me and her, we eat on tv trays in the living room. I enjoy us having both our kids at the table.

Did it tonight. First gumbo of the fall, a little early.

When I was growing up we ate at the table every night. It's something I'll do with my family one day as well.

The wife and I said when we decided to have children that we would eat at the table. Breakfast every morning at table as well as dinner. Lunch on weekends as well. It's a good time to just sit and listen to your kids.

We did tonight. My wifes family gets together every Sunday to eat a meal together.
Once your kids get into things its more difficult.

Always did when my kids were growing up. Now, in retirement, the wife and I always sit down to supper together and toast our good life !

All seven of us growing up five nights a week. Phone off hook, door locked and tv off. Saturday night out to dinner, Sunday catch as catch can.
Now my own family does the exact same thing and about four or five breakfasts as well.

We always did...it shows. It is critical to children's development. They learn manners, conversation, patience, cooperation, simple chores. Parents get to listen.
No TV and the phone went unanswered. Sometimes word games and riddles.
A lot of our kids friends just happened to be at our house at dinner, we loved having guests.
We are empty nesters and miss those days, treasure them if you still can.

We try to be at the table for dinner every night but with a 1 year old it just doesnt always work out. Something that we do however is I will put pandora on an easy listening station (coldplay, john mayer, etc) and have it very quietly playing at the table. It is quiet enough to easily speak over and it just adds that much more relaxation to the moment.

Me and my Fiancee bought a house about 6 months ago. We sit down for dinner every night together. And on Sundays we go over to her family's house for a family dinner.
