Why is the national CFB media misrepresenting facts about LSU?

I keep seeing commentator after commentator and article after article where someone references that Jeremy Hill is going to play against TCU because the team voted him to.

Why is the national media ignoring that Les Miles has not acknowledged whether or not Hill will play and that the team vote merely reinstated him to the team?

The real information is out there, why is no one calling them on their bullshite? It just happened again on ESPNU's College Football Daily. I unmuted it because I thought I was going to get an actual game discussion. Instead I was treated to the same non-factual bullshite about Jeremy Hill that has run rampant with every mention of the TCU game.

Give it one game. Then people won't be talking about Hill anymore. They'll be talking about how underrated the Tigers were coming in...

not really, but what are you going to do? I try my best to just tune them out.

Often times, stating true facts requires some form of research.

Miles' refusal to be forthcoming about facts opens up tons of speculation that often times can be miscontrued and result in negative pub for LSU.

He's stated in press conferences that there would be a "withholding" from play.

What else is he supposed to do?

I saw that too

I liked how they assumed Hill would play, but assumed Patterson would still not play Fields

Honestly I could not care less at this point. It isn't as aggregious as people calling Hill a child molester.

If he had come out and said from the beginning he would be out x amount of games, this likely wouldn't be happening.

Watch how little will actually be made of it when Hill doesn't play and Fields does.

pretty much.

at that point the media will question every week, "is this the week hill returns to the team"?

For today's media there is no work ethic. I mean Glenn Guilbeau uses the rant for half his source material for frick sake.

That's stupid (not on your part, on the medias part). They blow up with self righteousness because a coach won't give them the answer they want and intentionally ignore the information he's actually given them.

Wait till after the game and Hill doesn't play. The media will be on the "Patterson shamed Miles into holding him out" bandwagon. These guys have only one purpose, to create some sort of drama in order to draw viewership.

Didn't something similar to this happen with Oregon a few years back?

We suspended Jefferson and they allowed their star CB to play?

No. Cliff Harris didn't play. That was one of Oregon's excuses after the game. DeAnthony Thomas fumbled because Cliff Harris wasn't there to field kicks.

My memory of that game is fuzzy, but didn't he fumble because Mathieu laid him out?

Whenever I see the words "National" and "Media" I know it's all lies.

We all know ESPN hates LSU.

Want satisfaction? Stop watching that trash.

I gave up ESPN (except for College Football games) several years ago. It helps.
