Ever really look at it? Hang a jar over the side of the boat with shiners in it? Think that would work? Maybe a big ole pickle bottle full?

Don't know what ad you're talking about, but maybe. The plastic bag they come in may work better if you weight it down.

I carried some in my box for a while. Used it in a place with too much grass. Will revisit in late September.

If I had to guess, you would blow up a balloon, tie some fishing line to the balloon, then thread the line through the gill of the fish like you would a stringer, then tie a knot in the line.

But I have never done it
