Got the first overall pick. Ten team league, six points per TD (pass or rush). I am hesitant to take Peterson first because every other back who rushed for 2,000 yards in a season rushed for (I think) less than 1,500 the next year and had a dropoff in production.

It's a ten team league. Get Peterson and then back around get a rb/wr there will be a decent rb there for you to get.

Even if you don't want him you take him and trade him after the draft. He has way more value than any other player

Sounds like you already did. I would at least draft him and trade him if you don't want him.

You kind of have to. This is why I hate having the first overall pick. I think that it takes options away. The way you draft is dictated more by what everyone else is doing after that first pick.

This. I just drafted from 1 in a 10-teamer yesterday. Didn't expect to get 1 at all but there is no debate, you take ADP.

On the 2/3 turn I took Dez Bryant and Brandon Marshall. I'm happy with those 3 guys as my "core".

You have to take him, if he goes off like he did last season you are going to look like a dunce. Take him and flip him for two other players if you don't really want him, I'm sure there are other owners in your league that would be willing to give up their rb1 and a decent wr for him.

I was in the same position friday. We wound up very similar. I took Dez Bryant and AJ Green.

Who did you end up with at RB2-4? I grabbed Lamar Miller and Vereen, then Ben Tate later. Hoping one of those guys is serviceable enough to be my RB2 week-to-week...

I screwed up with my RB2-4 because I made a grab for Brady and Gronk at 4/5. I have andre brown, deangelo williams, and ben tate. I feel like I probably let someone worthwhile get past me. I'm going to have to be watching the waiver wire like a hawk for the next super sleeper rb.
