I seriously doubt he redshirts. He just got to campus, along with several other studs that weren't listed on the depth chart (Tre White, Brazil, Beckwith, Neal). They'll all play this year, just gonna take them a while because they just stepped on campus. Miles will trust guys who know the schemes better right now even if they don't have the ceiling some of the new kids have.
