I know its early but the guy is a lock. Talk about off the radar. The best looking rook on def. next to Vaccaro. I don't know of one person who when we all chipped in after the draft on who could make the team said Glenn Foster. The way he has progressed thru camp and the preseason leaves me no doubt he has a great opportunity to become a starter and this guy will be a boon to our salary cap issues going forward as well.

Foster put on quite the show at Illinois pro day as he was not invited to the combine. Thank God!

From the school's official release:

Defensive lineman Glenn Foster stole the show in the weight room with a 39.5-inch vertical leap and 29 bench press reps of 225 pounds, both the top totals of the day. The 6'4", 286-pound Foster also posted impressive numbers in the board jump (10' 9"), 40-yard dash (4.79), 20-yard shuttle (4.46) and 3-cone drill (7.09). For comparison, all six of Foster's measurements would have ranked in the top-15 among defensive linemen at this year's NFL combine, with his vertical jump and broad jump marks ranking first among his peers at the combine.

7 tackle, 3.0 TFL, 2.0 sack performance at Ohio State.

So this Bud's for you Mr Foster. God speed and remember to "kill the quarterback" Just not with your helmet or hand or below the knees or slaming to the ground to hard etc etc.

He looks like a monster so far. I hope he continues to improve because he could be a solid player if he developes.

Payton said last night that he's not playing for a roster spot anymore but playing time. He got first team reps last night. Awesome job on his part.

No doubt this dude has earned his spot by playing his butt off.

Would be a good "You're Doing it Wrong!"

Many props to Foster, whose prescense was much needed after Coleman going down. With Cam, Hicks, Bunkley, Jenkins, Foster, and Walker, it looks we have a young, and very solid D-line rotation.

like many, I've prayed that we could have some late round or UDFA scores like the long list on offense. This guy might be the one. Looks thoroughly legit!
