LSU Tailgating Advice

My friends and I are travelling to the U.S. from Ireland in September and have tickets for the Auburn @ LSU game. First college football game and first time tailgating. We're looking for some advice on what to do game day. Any tips would be appreciated, specifically;
What time to arrive at the stadium?
Can we buy beer/food there?
Where to go after the game?
We get into BR on Thursday and leave Sunday. Any suggestions on how to fill this time would also be welcome.
No girlfriends and all mid-twenties if that matters.

Check the Tiger Rant. Definitely have fun and enjoy yourself, but don't end up in the can.
Arrive early. Plan on parking in the hayfield lot (it's free).
No beer sales in the stadium. I'm sure you'll make plenty of friends at tailgates though. People are sometimes willing to share.
Depending on your drunkenness, possibly a bar such as Walkons.
Avoid Tigerland. Nothing good comes of it.
Friday before the game, go explore campus, see Mike, watch all the hullaballoo of tailgating setup. It's awesome.
Most of all, enjoy yourself. Good luck

Ok thanks for the advice. Is the 2 hour open bar as good as it sounds?

Solid use of night hours. Bogies is good as well
Other than that, get some good food and check out the women

1. Go early
2. Sneak booze inside stadium
3. Just don't go to Walk ons

Make sure to leave the game at half-time so you fit in with the LSU fans and no one will know you're an outsider.

Really can't wait for it now.
Food isn't going to be high on list of priorities but is there anywhere in BR we should really make an effort to try? I think Twin Peaks deserves a visit

Yeah, if you ever go to Dallas.
Try to go to Georges or the Chimes to eat while you are in town.

I'll be in Dallas for a few days before hitting BR! What is the difference?

What made you choose to come to an LSU game?

Dallas Twin Peaks has high quality trim.
Baton Rouge Twin Peaks has used up skanks.

Tailgating sounds like my idea of heaven. Football, beer, cajun food and women.
Will be in Austin the previous Saturday (Ole Miss @ Longhorns) but LSU tailgating sounds much better.
Sitting in section 610 but would be surprised if I'm not passed out in a gutter by kick-off.

An Irishman admitting Cajuns can out-drink him?
Now I know you're an alter.

I just meant if you are in BR, there are better places to eat.
That's like going to New Orleans and saying, "I'm hungry, anybody want to go find a Chilis?"
