you can but its not as easy or as effective as when you're editing tracks and don't have a 3-5 minute live window to work with. much easier to do in production than in a live performance.

It sounded like that for all of them on my end. So much so that I had to FFWD through some of them because I couldn't even hear the singing, only the music. I feel like MTV dropped the ball somewhere.

The audio really fricked up JT's performance last night.
And whoever designed the stage should never be hired again. It was entirely too low. JT had dancers all over the place dancing and you could barely see everything going on because they looked like part of the crowd.
And something else. Were there only like 6 celebrities that attended the VMAs last night? All they kept showing was Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, rihanna, Gaga, Will Smith, and his kid. And MTV crowded them all in the same small section. And it sucked whoever was sitting behind Will Smith and Taylor Swift. Those frickers stood up the entire time
Also, I have never really heard a Drake song. I couldn't tell you a single rap song of his, (although I know I have heard one if someone pointed one out), but I dug that singing part from last night. Never heard that song before, (or that shitty rap chorus he did right after for that matter), but I could get into that song. He should have sung more of that and left out the rapping

Macklemore got fricked by his stage setup. Here's a rapper that likes to run, dance and jump during his shows. Let's put him on a stage that's 15 feet in diameter.
