I watched this movie just now at y'all's suggestion.
Man, it was pretty awesome.
It reminded me of those R-rated sci fi/action movies of the 80's.

It was pretty good for what it was, not great though so I wouldn't get my expectations too high based on this thread. There's a really cheesy slow motion shot that they repeatedly use that gets a little annoying

It was filmed for 3d, but it doesn't overly affect the movie negatively.

Just watched it. Loved it. Yes, it had a feel of the 70's and 80's cop/sci-fi/action things.

I just watched it myself, and it made the Stallone version look stupid. Good action and Olivia Thrilby was pretty good in it too. Karl Urban was pretty solid as Dredd. It was also pretty hard to believe that MaMa was the same actress as King Leonidas' queen in 300. Overall, good flick.

I loved it. Reminded of how action movies used to be made, simply give a plot that makes sense, put the good guy in a tough position, then let that person wreck shop.

Got a chance to watch it on Netflix last night and loved it. It knew what it was, and did it splendidly. No need for an overcomplicated plot, or unnecessary love story...just Dredd fricking shite up. I hope it does get a sequel, I'd definitely check out the next one in theaters.

I liked it.
The slow motion sequences were a little overused IMO, but that was kinda the point (shite, wasn't the drug even called SlowMo?). All in all, solid action flick. And I liked Karl Urban.
