Chavis has a saying "Tradition just doesn't graduate." That means that regardless who goes pro... who graduates... who goes down.. you just plug another player in and play at the same level. Tradition doesn't graduate. Good stuff and definitely hope it's true this year

Chavis seems to be pretty high on this year's defense. More so than I recall in the past. But what would he know compared to the rant.

I think Chavis is getting a lot more questions this year regarding the defense and has to keep answering the same question over and over.

In the past people always knew the defense would be good but this year it's been labeled a question mark.

Chavis is not going to say well we may have a talent drop off but we'll be okay. He needs to support his guys 100% and build them up to the media.

I have concerns about the defense as well but it's backup depth. If Rasco goes or the Freak goes down, we may be in trouble.

John Chavis says the talent that comes through LSU compared to when he was at Tenn is unreal!

no one, i mean NO ONE was OK with that offense. not the fans, not the coaches, not even the players. it's not like they were not trying. they just weren't very good. of course, some fans ALWAYS think it's the coaches fault and the ALWAYS think the players on teh bench are better. just because people don'twant to burn the coaches homes and fire them, doesn't mean they were OK with it.

I think the most questions he got was in his first year when the fans and media were still recovering from the Malvetto disaster. 2010 and 2011 were low expectation years. But I've never seen these type of statements out of him. I don't think he's the type that plays to the galleries.
