Dining ideas near Lauberge Casino in BR

Will be going there tonight to go see Smoky Robinson. The restaurants inside the casino don't really entice me. Anything near that area that's decent? Would go for sushi or other seafood preferably. Many thanks!

Robertos is your best bet for the area if not just in the casino itself. To get to it drive down Nicholson/Hwy 30 til a red light at Bayou Paul Road(first red ligjt past University Club subdivision) and go right to River Road, turn right again north on River Road for a very short distance and you will not miss it,

18 steaks have a good taste despite their cooks inability to cook it as requested. If you like rare you are SOL. If you like medium, order it rare.

SO doesn't eat meat. How is the sports bar inside the casino? Food there decent?

The burgers are decent but that doesn't help you. I would suggest OMI or Ichiban on Essen then come down Staring to the casino.

Man, y'all aren't playing about this Omi bidness, huh?
This many f&db posters can't be wrong.

FDB appreciates what little good ethnic food we have in BR
I would like to steel you on one issue, though: your waitress will know English about as well as you know Mandarin. If you need more interaction than simply pointing at the menu, you'll likely have to speak to the owner. That said, it isn't much of an issue as he's walking about constantly. Just don't want anyone put off by it
