Laurence Fishburne movie. Honestly, probably the worst movie I've ever seen.

Thoughts?

I preferred the tv show, it was short lived though. I liked the idea, but without the threat or ability to do violence, the show was too one sided.

I thought this was a TV show thread. Season 2 was filmed near Chalmette and was awesome.

Couldn't agree more.

I usually like movies with the concept they were creating but it missed the boat in every way possible.

Total waste of time.

It was mentioned on the IMDB page and Topix when it happened, but it never really made the rounds as far as the media. It may not have happened, but several people said it did. Apparently, early during the filming for season 3 the "marauders" rushed into the stronghold and one of the colonists fell down the stairs and hit his head.

Or that's the story.

I used to watch the show religiously and participated in the discussions on IMDB. I can remember when the news first broke and the cancellation of the show a few weeks later.

I don't know. When I heard it, I took it as truth because ti was a very popular show that did not get picked up for a third season, and the show's popularity coupled with NatGeo and Discovery's obsession with all things apocalyptic, dystopian and prepper made the cancellation of this show rather suspicious.
