Looks like they are trying to open a new restaurant in Walker... Sign on the door says "best steaks in town". Does anyone know anything about it?

No, but if they charge more than $15 a steak there might be a riot.

Back in the day ol Don Pedigo had a good steak, huge with a great price. Not one to compete with sullys or chris but very good none the less. He used to have several spot around town with his steak deal. First I remember was fla at sherwood back in early 80's in that little strip center next to walgreens , on the service road in front of those apartments. then he moved to dallas drive into the old goobers bar building..then he ended up on tiger bend in what is now Masons...... I want to say in the beginning the steaks were $10 and covered the plate

I thought Don was dead, if so it must be his kin.. Christ he would be old as shite now

That thought crossed my mind as well, not setting the bar too high since it would be the only steak in town.

I might be mistaken but I thought his son was the owner of BJ's in Port Vincent. That little burger stand next to the Crackle Barrel gas station. He makes a very good burger...

75ish for sure if he's still alive. Don was the 1st person in BR (i think) to do mobile mechanic work when he operated "Tune Up On Wheels" out of his van.

I agree mr. Don put out a good product back then. Maybe his on can pull off the same thing in walker. They certainly need some good eats options.

Sherwood Gardens...

Was his bar that he first started serving the steaks on Saturdays only.

Great steaks for sure

We may have shared a beer or two up in there Roy

Big Don might be gone, but Donald Ray ran the Wooddale Court location near Dallas Dr. He was a likeable guy, and put out a good steak for the price-point. He used to have a lingerie show every Thursday when he ran the steak special. He kept good talent, cold beer, and poured a better than average drink. Most of that talent took off to the orange owl place when it opened. I hope he is still around. Let me know if it's any good.

He has told me that on a fee occasions. Haven't heard that he is opening up the place in Walker.
