I am really excited about this season, but the thought of Jennings and Fournette in the same backfield is sick...

He reminds me of Russell Wilson, or Tahj Boyd with the way he plays the position. A heady kid with very good accuracy that has the athleticism to extend plays and get first downs when things break down. Good looking prospect.

JJ was not really a threat to run and pass consistently
He was no threat AT ALL to do anything. HE SUCKED!!! I can't wait until that name is never brought up again.

NOTE OF THE WEEK: In LSU’s last two scrimmages on Tuesday and Saturday that were both closed, the offense gained the same number of yards rushing and passing, according to estimates by Coach Les Miles – 200 on the ground and 250 through the air.

Jennings has poise beyond his years! Cool in the pocket! I saw him play in the spring game. I've never seen anything like it from a true freshman!

IMHO he will win the hiesman . The coaches say he is very intelligent and picked up the play book fast.

From what I've seen and heard in my humble opinion he could go in against Bamma and play like a seasoned player

Jennings will be #2 QB as a true freshman, will start next year and in '15, then declare for draft, yielding to Rettig who redshirts this year and should get two years as a starter. That's how I hope it goes.

I can equate him to Marcus Mariota even though Bridgewater might be a good comparison too.

Mariota can do both run and pass extremely well. Bridgewater is a pure pocket passer with wheels, but he never has positive yardage(mostly because his OL sucks).

I also see him as a more polished Aaron Murray/Russell Wilson at this stage in his career. Since Jennings doesn't have a cannon arm, his quick release will be great for the style of play we need.

For the first time since Ryan Perrilloux we are talking about QB being a strength of the team. Finally.

You were doing good until this. Rettig will be passed by the next three QBs we recruit. One of the few recruits our staff just missed on. Come to think of it, we probably just got lucky on AJ. Other than that, and Mett falling into our lap, we just haven't evaluated QBs very well. Maybe Cam will change that.

Luck, skill, who cares. At the end of the day, we'll finally know what it would have been like to land colt McCoy, luck, rg3.

I saw the same spring game you did. He looked good but you, and many rantard fans, are exaggerating. He looked very talented AND he looked like a true freshman. Why is reality not good enough? Why must you create a mountain of a mulhill by counting your chickens before they hatch? You're just gonna flip shite whem it doesnt happen anyway.

I like the kid, don't get me wrong, but Jesus Christ! Stuff like this astounds me. You really think that a true freshman that's never taken a snap in an SEC game is more polished than the 1st team All-SEC QB that's going to hold pretty much every SEC passing record by the time he graduates and an NFL QB? Get a clue.
