It may be in another thread. Couldn't find it.

Why exactly is LSU not recruiting Sims hard? I hear no offer has been made. I'm not a guy that thinks "Bama offered; we must offer".

Wondering the actual reason. Is he slow? Bad hands? Character issues?

Announcement is the 24th. People expect him to commit to Bama.

Heard he ran in the 4.7's at camp. Don't know truth of that though.

Also he hasn't been offered so far bc Dupre Quinn and Noil are more highly sought after

Because he is very good....simply NOT as good as Upchurch, Chark, Quinn, Dupre, and Noil

he came to camp two years ago an performed pretty well but ran a slow 40.

he was invited to come back and earn an offer this year but had better things to do.

Check every thread posted in the last six months - there will be at least 10-15 posts in each thread discussing Sims.

Because there are better kids on our board. That's the truth in this case, not some BS excuse.

I really think that this is the issue. He didn't want to camp, and we had good prospects on the board that did.

It isn't really anything against the kid, it just so happens the WR is stacked this year, with good looking prospects that are ready to work.

I hope the best for the kid, and would certainly like to take him on if thats what the numbers dictate, although I doubt it happens at this point.

That's the word. Even if he does commit to Bama, I see him getting processed before signing day or in a couple of years.

I hope this isn't the case, but its just a gut feeling about Bama's offer. I really hope wherever he goes he does well.

I heard he ran a 4.7 too and that just does not cut it in the SEC. Espc when the rest of the receivers they are recruiting run a 4.4 or faster.

I hope you realize that HUGE .3 second gap that you're saying 'wont cut it in the SEC' is only 2 feet in a 40 yard dash...

you NCAA 14 gurus sound really ignorant on here when you try to compare 40 times

You realize that 4.7 was when he was a sophomore right? He's faster than that now. Doesn't matter, he's going elsewhere and LSU isn't pursuing him.

TWo feet in football is alot! you sound stupid not acknowledging that!

Football is a game of inches. If you're inches faster than the man you line up against you have a much greater chance of success against him. That is probably the dumbest comment I've ever read on here. It's only 2 feet in 40 yards thats 5 feet in 100 which means TD everytime for the faster guy in a foot race. WOW! I have become dumber from having read you're last comment. Please do better next time!

Apparently he is JJ...

how many times in your life have you seem two athletes race 100 yards for a TD jackass?

If someone is two inches in front of me, can't I just use my arms and grab them?

Seriously though, forget my post on here, if you think a .2 second differential in a 40 time will keep a player from getting an offer, you are dumberer than me

Could be something as simple as the LSU staff doesn't think he'd be a good fit in the system.

Staff asked him to come to camp to earn an offer after not having a great showing and he got pissy

No, I didn't realize that. I hope you realize it's a 40 YARD dash and not a 40 FOOT dash.
