I realize this is a really stupid question, but I never turn on my TV and the internet just isn't helping.

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched Season 1 of New Girl on Netflix and fell in love. I've been online streaming Season 2, and just finished episode 25--which was CeCe's wedding day and when Nick and Jess decided to be together. I assumed that was the final episode of Season 2.

I found a link online saying that Season 3 begins September 17th, but I'm also seeing on the Fox website that the next episode of New Girl is tonight (Thursday, Aug 22). I'm confused. Is Season 2 still in progress and it's just running straight into Season 3 without any break? And if so, why has episode 25 shown up on my streaming reel for a few weeks now if it's the most previous episode? Or was the September 17th date incorrect?

Help a non-tv-watching dummie figure this out because I ALSO don't pay for DVR and can't imagine missing out tomorrow while I'm at work!

Thank you :D

CeCe's wedding was the last episode of Season 2.

Season 3 begins Sept 17th.

UltimateHog is correct.

LL, you do realize that networks show repeats right? So when they say that a show is being shown today, doesn't necessarily mean it's a new show.

I know that shitty channels like TLC and MTV replay shows over and over, but I didn't think a prime time channels had the time to replay episodes...

It says the next airing episode is tonight at 8pm, and I assumed there would be a current show coming on at 8pm on a Thursday night.

Can you tell I never watch TV? I don't know why I even pay for it.

Maybe I should get DVR.

I got really into New Girl recently too

They are just showing season 2 episodes leading up to the new season. Most networks do this.

Fall season hasnt really started for Networks. And Networks mostly just show reruns of their other shows during summer

Most channels fill their summer programming with cheap reality shows. But usually by the close of summer as the new season is about to start, they're all running reruns from last season in the hopes that they can pick up a few new fans to start the new season.

I've heard lots of good things, and will likely get into this show pretty soon.

Don't judge it by the first two episodes. They tried too hard to make Zooey too "adorkable" (my least favorite word ever) and its a little unbearable at times but they tone it down after that.

It really starts to hit its stride in the second half of season 1.

I alternate between finding Schmidt completely hateable and completely hilarious, but I'm pretty sure that's what they intended.

Nick is one of my favorite characters on TV.

I've seen a thread on here before where people post some of their favorite moments or scenes from the show, and I watched a couple of them and it seems like something I would dig.

That's also how I got onto Workaholics...I had heard lots of good things about it and then saw a thread where people linked scenes and it cracked me up. Went and bought the first two seasons the next day and was caught up by the following week.

it got good about halfway through the entire season. there have been many threads about this. At first they tried to make Zoeys character carry the show and it just wasnt happening. She sucks so bad. But the supporting cast are great together.

Coco you will like it is it stupid humor.

Nick and Schmit are awesome all the time and Winston has his moments. One of the funniest episodes was when Winston taught Jess's students the bells. His games he play at his letter packing job was hilarious.

The rerun that's on tonight has some of the funniest moments of season 2, but I don't recommend watching it tonight because it also has the biggest moment of the series to this point.

Nick's roster is pretty strong with Munn and Lizzy Caplan.

Pretty much my life dream. Bang Munn for like 4 years and then marry Kaplan

I hated how they ended Nick and Munns character though. I get they cant stay together but it was so "oh yeah btw" that it sucked.

Maybe i'm just used to watching HBO shows and Breaking Bad but it seems like New Girl seasons come and go fast as shite. Coulda sworn the last season ended a month or two ago.
