SEC is the only conference in the NCAA. No other conference actually plays college football. All other teams not in the SEC should just concede their losses now. The SEC OOC games are just a formality for fans to get drunk and party, since there is no doubt who will win. Hell the PAT's are just a formality and the SEC teams just trot out a kicker for the TV fans. The points are awarded prior to the kick even being made.

Now that we got that straight, let me say LSU is the undisputed best dang team in the SEC this year, like most years. LSU never loses to pussy OOC teams or even plays them close, unless they just don't feel like playing. This team will be exactly like the 2011 team with the exception of beating Bama twice. LSU did not need kickers in the 2011 season and they played no role at all in those wins. Kickers are just scholarship placeholders that are there to appease the rest of college football fans.

But, since we know the rest of the players are the best to ever wear pads (not that they even need pads), and since LSU has a few kickers I thought I would ask about how they were doing at practice because other than kickoffs they will never see the field. Field goals are for losers. Punts are for weak non SEC teams, and maybe Vandy.

For good measure let me add that any fan of another school that disagrees with the above is a man loving, panty wearing, butt hurt, pussy, stupid, irrational, douche, idiot.

Didn't bother reading when I saw that you don't know how to spell "controversial".

Dude, people are going to mess with you because they are all hopped up on football that hasn't arrived yet. You've been around for awhile. You should know these things already. Go back and look at LSU-Oregon threads or LSU-AppState threads or whatever semi-interesting season opener related threads we've had in the past. You start these threads and then you have to deal with it.

Oh and

so seriously, what are the reports on the kickers?

Is the punter panning out to be as amazing as Wing is?

How does the FG kicker look? What is his range?

Only for the first bama game.

Take away all the other field goals against every other team and LSU still wins those games handily.

remove LSU FG's and the one PAT and final Mississippi State LSU score is 6-6 and we are going to OT

LSU/ORG 6 punts and 10 pts off of kicks so it still would have been a 3 point handily win.

See you are completely correct LSU did not need its kickers at all.

Keehn punted in the first game of the season last year instead of Wing and no one noticed until after the game because they all wear the same number. There won't be much of a drop off there, he's solid, and I think he's not nearly as big of a douche, so that's good.

FG kicking, all I feel like Les says after scrimmages is that they were 8 or 10 or something like that. No idea of their range at all tbh.

The kickers range isn't so great at this point, but he seems accurate enough. We have a second kicker that will be kicking off and handling the long range field goes. I suspect that the overall effect will be very solid kicking at short range with slightly below average accuracy at longer distances. All in all, the kicking should be solid.

@EastAdvocate: Miles: Jamie Keehn averaged 47 yards last time he punted in scrimmage. #LSU
