Whichever teams play in this game should probably wait a few days after this game before they do any drug tests on their players.

I can't wait for three pages of "I'm so sick of all these extra bowl games that I'm not watching" crap. Yes, these two games will probably sorta suck, but more football is never bad.

How on earth do those bowls make enough money to justify existing? Or draw enough viewers to make it worth it for ESPN to televise them? I mean, I'm not going to hurry home from work to watch UTEP-Ball State.
There ought to be a rule: If a coach ends up getting canned because he took a team to your bowl, it shouldn't be played.

If they make any money at all that's probably enough, right?

How? With extreme ease, is how.

You don't have to draw a massive audience to justify several million dollars for 3 hours of programming. Most of these bowls are well in the green before they sell a single ticket.

UTEP-Ball State
would still be or damn near be the highest rated tv show of the night. Especially during holidays.

If they wanted great ratings they should schedule them for May. Hell I was so football starved in May I watched two neighbor kids throwing their football around for 15 minutes before I realized what I was doing. As it is, I'll likely bet $10-20 on them and watch but I can't imagine they'll pull in the casual fan.

The bowls make more than enough money. Where the issue will be is are the schools making enough money to justify another 2 bowls. There's already some bitching about schools going to low level bowls losing money on them.

They put it in the Bahamas so Tech wouldn't turn it down.
