Hey so I'm not a part of this fancy club but I'll be in the big D. Can you fine folk give me your list of 6 beers that I can get there but not here, that I should try? Thanks!

Look for any local beer, plus Ballast Point, Founders, Firestone Walker

You drink craft beer?

Try to find some Rahr & Sons, Six Point, Great Divide and Firestone Walker.

I'm willing to.

That's why I'm asking for some help and guidance. Teach me ObiWan.

That wasn't meant to be a ranking, just throwing out suggestions. Yeah Rahr isn't the tops in the state or anything, but I always try to pick up at least one bottle when I'm over there or have someone bringing me stuff.

That's cool that you're willing to try it out and take an interest in it. Just prepare for your waistline to expand and your bank account to shrink if you take the complete plunge.

Also, I'm not all that versed on beers available in Texas. Plenty of other FBD'ers who know more about the offerings over there than me.

Can't say I recall any of their beers I've had by name from them, if any. Think somebody brought a Deep Ellum brew to the party last fall. I'll BOLO next time I have someone up that way whose trekking back to Nola.
