Anyone ever order alcohol online?

My other half wants a flavored rum that I cannot find here in town. I was going to order for her birthday but didn't know how reputable some of these websites were.

Ive used lueken's liquors (based in tampa) and holiday wine cellar (based in escondia, ca). Tampa is much cheaper shipping.

Yea I've checked both. Callandros was going to try and said they'd call of they got it in. Her birthday is coming up so I would like to get on my own so I can add it to her birthday.

Go to Cuban and see if they can order a bottle for you. Most smaller stores will do it. Mount Gay is widely distributed so it shouldn't be an issue.

Interesting story on the Wall Street Journal radio news this morning. People are walking into local liquor stores with their smart phones and taking a pic of the products they want while noting the prices listed at the store.
Then they go online to some website and use the pics to find places they can order from for lower prices.
Apparently this started with car shopping. Go to a dealer, take a pic of the sticker with all the specs and price, then go online to find cheaper versions of the same car.

yep. the only way you are going to really save money is if you have a big order and get free shipping or you are buying something that you don't get locally. Otherwise shipping is a bitch.

Screw taking a picture, I just scan the barcode with my phone and have an app search online at that very instant. I get prices and reviews within seconds.

This. If its one bottle and just have to have it then just over pay for it. But you will pay 20$+ in shipping on that one...or 26$ for 6 bottles. I order online but when i do I get a few things to help with shipping.

Showrooming in the liquor store. Gotta love it.
Try Albertsons liquor store. I have had them order alcohol they didnt have on the shelf. Easy and quick.

Also try Martins on Perkins. If they don't have it they can order it for you.

Bought some stuff off of masterofmalt.com awhile back. Good selection of liquor and the place has great customer service.
