If you can find these on there, they're good:

the Chesire Murders
Mea Maxima Culpa - Silence in the House of God
any of the Paradise Losts; 3 was great

Here's a top 20 list. It's from last year so I don't know if they're all still on there. LINK

On this list I've only seen Last Train Home and Exit Through the Gift Shop. Both are decent documentaries although I think Gift Shop is overrated. You should watch Last Train Home just for the craziness of seeing 1 million people trying to get on the same train.

I can't remember the name of it. But it is about Joaquin Pheonix pursuing a rap career after he made Walk the Line. One of the greatest trolls on camera of all time.

I've watched a ton of documentaries on netflix. They have a good variety of stuff ranging from strange people to celebs to food docs to social docs to true crime stuff.

Off the top of my head, here are some I enjoyed and a little bit about them.

-Queen of Versailles (a look at a super rich family as the recession hits them)
-Tabloid (story of the crazy lady who kidnapped her mormon boyfriend in England)
-Hot Coffee (Mcdonald coffee lawsuit)
-Johny Carson, King of Late Night (Johnny Carson)
-The Imposter (guy poses as a family's missing child)
-Lost Angels (People on Skid Row)
-Into The Abyss (a Texas triple murder and the killers)
-The Thin Blue Line (examines the possible innocence of a man convicted of murder)
-After Innocence (people who have convictions reversed by DNA)
-The Achievers (Big Lebowski convention)
-Knuckleball (MLB Knuckleballers)
-The Wild and Wonderful Whites (crazy West Virginia family)
-Jiro Dreams of Sushi (sushi master)
-Religulous (Bill Maher takes on religion)
-Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer (Story of Aileen Wuornos)
-Brother's Keeper (isolated brothers accused of killing another brother)
-Dark Days (group of homeless living in subway)
-Bully (examines bullies at school)
-Indie Game (the making of a indie video game)
-Side By Side (looks at filmmaking throughout the years)
-I like Killing Flies (guy runs a small NY restaurant)
-Undefeated (high school football)
-Best Worst Movie (story of Troll 2)
-We Were Here (a look at the AIDS epidemic)
-How to Survive a Plague (AIDS epidemic)
-Cocaine Cowboys (cocaine trafficking and violence in Miami)
-Everything or Nothing (James Bond doc)
-Knuckle (local MMA fighters)
-Kings of Pastry (pastry cooking competition)
-Restrepo (a platoon during the Afghanistan war)

My favorites of those would have to be Restrepo, Brother's Keeper, Undefeated, and We Were Here. All four are emotional docs.

I think it's simply titled "War" World War 2.A lot of footage I'd never seen.Really real.

If you like The Big Lebowski then "The Achievers" is great. It's about these guys that started these Big Lebowski Gatherings and how it's blown up.It's really good.
