...for ripping off the helmet of the Dolphins Richie Incognito and hitting him with it? I'll look for the clip and post it when I find it.

...dude went full roid-tard.

This should link to it.

This is not it, but they apparently have bad blood. This was last season.

Probably 2 games and he definitely deserves it. But if you notice, Incognito had his hand inside Smith's face guard for most of the play. Incognito's entire career is worthy of suspension, dirtiest player in the league.

I hate Incognito. He's been a douche his whole career.

Incognito might be a douche but swinging his helmet at him is a bitch move by Smith. He should get at least 5 games like haynesworth for stomping Gurode.

2 preseason games. I can live with that

Goodell must really dislike Incognito.

Hell, he basically got 1/2 of 1 game. He wasn't going to play in the 4th one anyway. I'm a Texan fan but he really skated on this one.

Updating a previous item, ESPN's Ed Werder reports the NFL is considering a "substantial" fine and "regular season suspension" for Antonio Smith following Saturday's helmet-strike incident with Richie Incognito. A previous report claimed the league was only considering "up to" a two-week preseason suspension, which would be a true belly laugher. Preseason games are meaningless, and a 32-year-old defensive lineman missing some of them might actually serve to help the Texans and Smith. Smith's act versus Incognito was malicious, violent, and a non-football act with the sole intent of inflicting potentially severe bodily harm. Had Smith connected and drawn blood or fractured Incognito's skull, the NFL would have an enormous problem on its hands. A preseason suspension would be an embarrassment to "The Shield."

Suspended 2 preseason games, 1 regular season game. I can still live with that.

Pretty damn ridiculous hes only getting a one game suspension. Unbelievable. Especially when you throw in the "preseason suspension" like that actually means something

Really? Remember this? (but this was just awesome, I remember talking heads around the league basically praising AJ for putting that thug POS in his place)

Repercussion of this fight? $25,000 fine, no suspension. Why are these situations similar? Both Finnegan and Incognito are dirty players (this is universally known and accepted throughout the league) who provoked the actions of the other, there is no denying that. Yes, swinging a helmet is pretty damn bad, but he had it coming. Especially after this happened last year:

Antonio was fined for this incident after proclaiming that Incognito was on the ground trying to twist/break his ankle (which it certainly looks like). Otherwise, there is no way that reaction would have been warranted and/or taken place.
