How shocking that you'd be so quick to write him off.

All good. Those cops should have handled this differently, but can you really take the kids' side? Still a shady case, but I think this is a plea deal. Rj will be starting special teams and backup safety.

Well, let me finish the quote...Excuses are like assholes, everybody's got one! Get the point! Making excuses for other folks is totally for losers!

Yes, I can. My nephew was with them that night. Those cops saw a couple of young black kids in a parking garage and rolled up on them in plain clothes without announcing who they were until they had them on the ground. JPPD didn't even bother to get witness statements from people that were trying to tell them those kids weren't doing anything.

Because they charged him with a fricking felony.

Kids make mistakes, especially when with peers at that age...I did...most of us here did...get over it...move on....Ricky is going to be fine and will play at the next level in 4 years...so what!

were they wearing hoodies, because the cops' actions were certainly justified if so...

Except they didn't do anything wrong. They started wrestling with the undercover cops because they approached them in plain clothes and put their hands on them. There were multiple adult witnesses that tried to diffuse the situation but the po-po wasn't having none of that shite.

You know the JPPD is going save their arse. I also heard that the kid who was initially pursued was an all academic honors student who may have lost some full paid academic schollys. Not sure how accurate that is, but this is truly a sad situation.

Like I said though, rj will make it right and be playing a ton.

Look, I'm not a cop lover by any stretch of the imagination...but I also taught teenagers for 10 years...and raised 2 of my own....the future is much brighter than the past....especially once you start looking through purple and gold glasses...lol...get over it...the past is dead, dude...move on....get a happier life...the future for LSU is looking very good. Ricky has learned a very valuable lesson...why don't you hangers-on.

I don't know about losing a scholarship but one of the kids was a 4.0 throughout high school kid. Probably had a ton of offers from a lot of places. A pending felony charge certainly could've led to some negative fallout.

What lesson is that exactly?

Question......Do younger more gung-ho cops enjoy being in plain clothes so they can "get a lil more rough-housing in" because they know the grey area will always fall on their side?
