From @Mortreport and me: Broncos LB Von Miller likely will be suspended as soon as today for at least six games.

Sides still in discussions on Von Miller suspension, and he's still hoping for four games, but six sounds more likely now.

Huge blow to Denver defense if hes suspended 6 games.

Denver is doing a great job of shooting themselves in the foot thus far.

I thought it was 4 and he was appealing?

What kind of appeal is he making that adds 2 more games to a suspension?

I thought the CBA was four games for drug use? Especially since Miller would be a first time offender?

In order to be suspended you have to be a second time offender

ESPN reports Broncos SLB Von Miller's suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy could be officially announced as early as Monday, and that he's facing "at least" a six-game ban.

It's safe to say Miller's appeal of what was expected to be a four-game suspension didn't go well, and that his recent arrest for blowing off a court appearance on traffic charges hurt his cause. It's still unclear what triggered Miller's ban, but he reportedly tested positive for both marijuana and amphetamines as a rookie. It's possible he failed a test last year, as well. It's a massive blow for a team adjusting to life without Elvis Dumervil, and still uncertain about LE Derek Wolfe's (neck) Week 1 status. Hopefully it's a wake-up call for Miller.

Didn't they also lose their starting center for the season to injury? They're suddenly looking pretty shaky after being off season favorites

OK I remember that now, but I still thought the penalty on a first suspension was only 4 games.
