I keep waiting to see the breakaway ability Ingram had in college.

I'll settle for picking up short first downs/goal line TDs.

Watson lined at FB for Ingrams TD and was the reason he went in basically untouched. I could see us using this formation more considering drew likes to use FB as safety valve.

Collins is definitely on the bubble.

Trade for what?

I think we're better off keeping him.

Austin Johnson (#35) was playing well against KC with the 2s and 3s. He may be pushing Collins, but I didn't notice him against Oakland.

But seriously, I don't know how long the Saints keep waiting for him to produce. Very reminiscent of Reggie Bush, to me. Not producing enough for the investment.

Yeah, but he's not exactly being paid out the arse.

It's not like we can get our draft picks back.

You're not getting anything more than a 7 for mark Ingram.

So a first-round pick is now worth a 7th? Hmmmmm....

Ingram

9 for 30 rushing ain't gonna cut it.

I watched and rewatched each of his runs. Collins didn't block anyone and they guy he should have blocked was always the one to make the tackle. That being said, Ingram needs to produce this year.

Did they move him this week? I thought he played the Strong side last week. This week, he played the Jack/rush (weak side). I may be wrong, but that can explain him not looking like turkey dump in coverage.

Yes, I noticed that too.

I hate even saying this, but I really think Harper would be great at that rushing position. He blitzed from the LBer spot and did great and as bad as his coverage skills are, they are better than Will Smith.

problem is lots of times in a 3-4, you'll have OT's blocking that OLB in a 3-4... harper ain't going to hold up at all against them.

That's what I've been thinking for a while.
He doesn't tackle all the well, and he can't cover for shite.

The one thing he does well is rush the passer.

According to PFF, the area where Smith is struggling the most is pass rushing, which should be his bread-and-butter.
He's actually doing better in run defense.

that would be good if that holds up and we bring in tez mania for 3rd down rushes.

I would like to see us run ingram outside more. He seems to do alot better when we do that. I dont think that we have been using ingram the right way. I think that sean peyton is gunna use him the right way this year and he is going to have a breakout year!

Sorry, but the comparison of production between Bush and Ingram is not even close. Bush's production was light year's ahead of Ingram. Thus far, Ingram is not anything more than that of an average backup RB.
