One of the worse movies I have ever seen was made locally in Baton Rouge in late 90s. It was premiered at the movie theatre I worked at the time. Dangerous Proposition was the movie. Holy Christ what a horrendous movie. Horrible acting, editing, the plot sucked, everything was a clusterf@#%. The fact that he raised $1 mil to make that movie was astonishing. It is the only movie that director has ever made.

which means that the movie basically broke even at the box office (considering the studio usually gets around 50-55%, theaters get the rest) and then was pure profit for DVD sales/rentals and television rights after that.

this is a movie that could have been put together on less than a $5M budget, but because its Sandler he can command an absurd budget to get paid. can't hate on him for taking care of himself and his friends, but I can hate on the idiots who actually bought a ticket for this shite.
